Obituary for Philip C. Cox

GRAFTON: Philip C. Cox, 78, passed away at home October 28, 2022 following an illness. His wife
Chamlong (Sakorn) passed away in 2011. Phil leaves his daughter Juliette Cox, son Sean Cox and his wife
Michelle, grandchildren Maxwell, Bennett, Cameron, Samantha, and great-granddaughter Ella, his
brother Kenneth Abrams and his wife Jane and several nieces and nephews. His brother Richard Cox and
sister Maureen Buteau predeceased him.
Phil was born January 25, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ and grew up in Fitchburg, MA. He worked for 25 years as
a Photo Lab Technician at Raytheon prior to retiring. He was a sargeant of the United States Air Force
during the Vietnam War.
Close to home Phil was always a prankster, had a quick wit and had a love for simple things like tending
to his tomato garden, photography or taking a spin in his beloved Nissan Maxima. If you ever wanted to
know what the weather forecast was going to be, Phil was your guy.
A brief service with military honors will be held on Friday December 2nd at 11am at Massachusetts Veterans
Memorial Cemetery 111 Glenallen St. Winchendon MA 01475 and a celebration of his life closer to
Grafton at a later date.
Please remember Phil with a donation to the American Lung Assocation at www.Lung.org. A Book of
Memories to share a special message with his family is available at:
