Condolences & Tributes

My condolences to Jacqui and the Minkle family on the passing of your beloved Bill.

As I worked with Bill over many years, I was always inspired by his deep passion and tireless commitment to social justice. I learned from Bill about the power of working in community.

We were friends for many years. I have wonderful memories of times with Bill. I will never forget his sense of humor and laugh, and his kind words and many blessings.

Rest in peace, dear friend. You will always be remembered for your great humanity and spiritual love.

Dear Jackie,
I was so saddened to hear the news of Bill’s passing. I had the pleasure to work with Bill for many years at Citizens for Citizens (CFC) and continued to see him while he worked at SMOC. He was such a gentle caring person. We had communicated back in a February and I was hoping to catch up with him sooner than later. I am so sorry to hear that he was in such pain. Rest assured there is an angel watching over you. He truly will be missed.
Stay well,
Liz Berube

We were so sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great advocate, and a good friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Bill was always a blessing in our lives. We have wonderful memories of his joining us for Christmas, Peggy's Birthday, graduations and weddings. I can so imagine arriving at our house with his wonderful smile and hearty greeting and sometimes a box of 'blondies' for the dessert offerings.
Talk was one of Bill's many gifts. He could be so warmly convincing on so many subjects, including the time he convinced Tom to vote for Dukakis for President.
The greatest treasures that will always live in our hearts are twofold.
First, how much he loved my sister Peggy.Their connection and engagement with each other was extraordinary and such a pleasure to be around. Imagining one without the other will remain undoable. It will just have to be a new kind of connection.
And then the other treasure was Bill's faith. It was so personal and real in his heart. But it didn't stay there. It was so magnanimously lived in his work as so many here have noted.

Bill's life is a beautiful witness to a life well lived. He will be forever remembered and loved.

I am heartbroken over the loss of Bill. I have worked with Bill on and off for 20 years. He was tireless champion in the fight for safe and affordable housing and he was a joy to work with, always a twinkle in his eye as he was arguing with you hoping to get you to see things his way. He was passionate and adamant. He was a great man who did so much good. It’s difficult to think of him gone from us. To Jackie and his family, my prayers are with you and thank you for sharing him with his other family that worked with him and shared his passion.

I am overcome with gratitude for knowing Bill and bearing witness to the incredible love, connection and faith that he and Peggy share. His selfless and genuine care for others, lifetime of servitude and a smile that lights up an entire room are just some of the memories that flood my mind. I recall many Christmas celebrations together, the love of Dunkin Donuts and Motown:), and staying up well after midnight with he and Peggy to talk about everything from politics to his work to their faith and stories about how they reconnected. My heart is so full for Peggy and all his friends and family and work associates. I will forever be inspired by how he lived his life; his beautiful care, compassion and generous spirit touched the lives of so many people. He will be forever missed. Love and Hugs to all whose lives he blessed.

I am so blessed to have had Bill in my life as my great uncle for 20 years. I can't remember a time when Uncle Bill wasn't happy, smiling from ear to ear, or making me laugh. We are completely heartbroken as we have lost an such incredible role model. Endless love to Aunt Peggy and the Minkle family; you all are in our thoughts and hearts.
Love,

As the afternoon dwindles towards his visiting hours and funeral tomorrow, I am daunted by the magnitude of this loss and at the same time that of his life. I was blessed to cross paths with Bill over my 20 years here at RCAP/RHI and in the end, fortunate to hire him for his last career chapter. There was never a day when Bill and I would not "fight for the cause" me administration and him, the mission. There were numerous times when he and I would bicker at lunch at VIA with rising voices, and the wait staff would say, "it's okay they are good...and we always were."
A passion for mission and the best of the best as a non profit was our mutual baseline. RCAP Solutions has been greatly blessed "beyond measure" to have Bill in our midst. He will remain there and his legacy of thoughtful, caring and compassionate equity for all will carry us forward.
May the best of the light shine on you dear friend, the beauty of your smile, the "how are you" tone of your voice and most importantly above all else, the love of your God through whom all blessing truly flow. There will never be another Bill. Rest well in the Holy Father's arms. You have done your job.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing and your loss,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was fortunate enough to work alongside Bill during his time with ESAC through ESAC's partnership with The City of Boston and It's Boston Home Center. I got to see first hand his commitment to preserving homeownership and his passion as a housing advocate. Year after year we battled back the tides of foreclosure crisis, after crisis and each senior housing struggle as it occured, he did it all with a smile and a soft voice. Bill was one of the good guys, never afaid to step up. He will be remembered always.

With Love & Respect

My Most Solemn and Heartfelt Condolences to the surviving Family & Friends of "Bill" Minkle. I had the Pleasure of working with him as he was our EXEC Dir. at ESAC (Ecumenical Social Action Committee) in Jamaica Plain MA for several years doing Foreclosure Prevention work. I am so sad to hear of Bill's "too early" passing. I concur with others, that he was a Very Thoughtful and Caring Man (a Good Soul) that labored hard for years towards advancing / promoting the betterment of others less fortunate. People Like Him, unfortunately are rare in these trying, uncertain & challenging days. TRAVEL WELL Dear Friend & Former Colleague. During these Sorrowful of times, "Hold ON To GODS Unchanging Hand".
PEACE BE UNTO YOU & YOUR FAMILY!!!!
