He was a proud veteran serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1956-1960 serving as a Mechanic. Harold dearly loved his wife Annette, being married to her in April, 1958 before settling in Grafton where they raised their three children. He was devoted as a loving husband and father and his world revolved around them and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a heart of gold providing endlessly for them and he will remembered always as a kind, caring and giving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, always ready to help and give to them when in need.

Harold loved music and was a very talented accordion player who played professionally in his younger days. Often one could find him in his music room playing late into the night. He loved sports, gardening, fishing and tinkering in his workshop. To those who knew and loved him, he was a hero.
