Obituary for Paul F. Dibaro Jr.
Paul F. DiBaro Jr., 36, passed away on June 9th, 2023, after a valiant nine-year battle with metastatic chordoma. Paul demonstrated unwavering courage and strength as he fought his cancer until the very end. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends during his final days.
Born on July 17, 1986 in Worcester, Paul grew up in Millbury, forming cherished memories and lifelong connections within his neighborhood.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife Abbigail (Paquin) DiBaro and their beloved dog Buster. He loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals, and exploring local food and breweries with Abbie. They shared a passion for culinary experiences and sought out new flavors and locations together. Paul's love for sports was evident in his fierce loyalty to New England sports teams, especially the Patriots and Bruins. He looked forward to enjoying games with friends, often accompanied by a fine cigar. Paul cherished the times spent with his family at Brialee Campground in Ashford, CT. He also enjoyed travel, and was particularly fond of his trips to Aruba with Abbie.
Paul will be deeply missed by his parents, Karen and Paul DiBaro Sr. of Brimfield, his brothers Mark DiBaro and his partner Tiffany Brown of Millbury, and Kevin DiBaro and his fiancé Ariel Lyons of North Brookfield. Paul's uncle John DiBaro and his wife Sheila of Worcester held a special place in his heart. Paul was recently predeceased by his uncle David DiBaro.
Paul studied HVAC at Blackstone Valley Technical High School, graduating in 2005. His dedication to his craft and his exceptional workmanship were evident in his over 12-year career at Complete Heating and Air Conditioning, where he became an invaluable member of the team. Paul's family extends a heartfelt thank you to his extended family, his boss Chuck Hill and his son Nick, who were much more than coworkers. They provided tremendous support and encouragement throughout his medical battles.
Away from work, Paul's loyalty and willingness to help others were ever-present. He was a devoted brother and friend, always ready to lend a hand wherever he was needed. His diligent work ethic and proficient handyman skills also allowed him to transform his house with Abbie into a warm and welcoming home.
Paul's strong will, warm smile, and unfaltering loyalty will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire others to embrace life, cherish their loved ones, and find joy in the simple pleasures.
Paul's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the remarkable team of doctors and nurses at Mass General Hospital, who provided exceptional care for Paul over the past nine years. They not only embraced his sarcastic sense of humor but also granted us the opportunity to create countless precious memories together.
All are welcome to gather with Paul’s family and friends Thursday, June 15th, from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., N. Grafton, MA 01536. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Chordoma Foundation (http://www.chordomafoundation.org) in Paul's memory.
Paul F. DiBaro Jr. will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring comfort and strength to all those who loved him.
