Obituary for Barbara Husson

Barbara Carol Husson, of Worcester / Westboro died in peace the morning of March 28th, 2023. Barbara was the youngest daughter born to the late Anthony and Laura (Campanelli) Caramello of Worcester Massachusetts. Barbara was married to her husband Michael V. Husson for 27 years before his died in November of 1994. She is survived by her son Jay “Jojo” Husson, her daughter-in-law Christy Pease, grandchildren Cameryn Husson, Alexis Husson, Jscott MacDuffie, and Cally MacDuffie. Her brother Anthony Caramello and beloved sister-in-law Patty Caramello. Her former daughter-in-law and friend Michele Brothers, and her good friend and PCA Kleema Campbell. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Maria (Jo) Dagostino, Beatrice Strozina, and Gloria D’Angelis.
Barbara was a woman of style, class, and grace. She had Impeccable taste and always decorated her homes with her own creative imagination and touch. She grew up on Rizzo Court in the Shrewsbury Street section of Worcester. After marrying Mike, they moved to Tatnuck area and raised their family. She was a member at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, and St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral. She graduated from Venerini Academy in Worcester and worked at Memorial Hospital for years before settling down. Barbara loved to cook for her family, play cards with her friends, and go shopping at her favorite stores HomeGoods, Marshalls, and Pier 1. Barbara’s infectious laugh, warm hugs, and delicious homemade meatballs and sauce along with a wide variety of Middle Eastern food will be greatly missed. I was always put on the spot with her sisters-in-laws when they brought middle eastern dishes to family events. My Aunts Sylvia and Janet specifically asking me “whose is better mine or your mothers?” Whether Italian or Middle Eastern or American, my mother’s cooking could never be beaten. Best of times… Barbara was a person who always had good things to say to or in reference to anyone. Never did she utter a bad sentiment or word. She loved animals, specifically her Yorkies and ours too.
Barbara maintained a solid connection to God practicing the Rosary several times a day and Mass, without fail. Making sure she covered everyone with her prayers of health and wellness.
The family thanks the nurses and doctors at Umass University Campus 7 ICU for the care and comfort they provided for Barbara.
Donations can be made to her favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
A private memorial service and celebration of life will be at a later date. Interment will be private.
