The loss of Doc Colgate has brought much sadness.

Doc was an amazing leader who made a difference everyday. Doc Colgate made you think and see things through to the end. He had such an impact that you never wanted to let him down. It was the environment and the culture that he model. Doc gave you the confidence and courage to make a difference.

He had a huge impact on thousands of people. I could never thank him enough for his support, encouragement, and guidance.

I want to extend my condolences to the Colgate Family. He will be missed.

I had the honor of swimming for Coach Colgate 70 - 72. Loved every minute especially the long limo bus ride the farthest ends of Nebraska. He gave me the opportunity to swim on the college level they were some the best times. My condolences to the family.

We loved having Pat and his 4 boys for neighbors in Chadron Nebraska! Many great memories and fun times with them! He was always encouraging and helpful , he even baby sat our 5 kids for a few hours one time! That was an achievement in itself! Our condolences to Bill, Ken and Bob for losing their great and intellegent dad! We will miss him greatly!

We have many fond memories of Pat at family gatherings at Ken and Kristy’s house. He was always so pleasant to speak with and had a great sense of humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace

Have so many great memories of Pat going back to his and JoAnne’s days in Nebraska raising those 4 rambunctious Colgate boys and then the fun times in Naples, Fl. Pat was funny and caring and loved. Sending prayers and love to my nephews Bill, Ken and Bob. You loved your Dad so much and you know he loved you back. He is now in heaven with Gary and you know they are having a blast together. Special prayers for my sister JoAnne who has lost her best friend. Ken and Kristy, you touched my heart with the wonderful, loving care you gave your dad in the last 4 years of his life. Pat is now resting in peace. Well maybe not so peaceful with Gary at his side. 😀
