GRAFTON: Deborah (Shays) Brousseau, 64, passed away March 3, 2023 following a sudden illness. She leaves her beloved husband of 44 years, Dwayne Brousseau. She is also survived by her three children: Dwayne Brousseau Jr. and his wife Connie of Grafton, MA, Brad Brousseau and his wife Nicole of Spencer,MA, and Tricia Brousseau of Uxbridge,MA. Deborah leaves behind three grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart: Alaila, Cameron and Connor along with her sister Christine Lombardi Shays.
Deborah was born October 27, 1958 in Worcester, daughter of the late Marilyn (Nordstrom) and David Shays. She lived in Grafton most of her life where she and Dwayne raised their family together. Debbie, as close family and friends knew her, loved spending her time by gathering with family whenever she could. `She truly enjoyed sharing her knowledge of cooking, nature watching trips around New England with Dwayne.
Her “partner in crime” was her mother-in -law, whom predeceased her in 2019. They loved their shopping trips and their weekend get aways to Cape Cod with Debbie’s best friend of 55 years, Lucy Nugent.
She worked for a period of time at Iandoli’s and XtraMart but her true calling was to be at home to care for her children, which she did whole heartedly.
All are welcome to gather with Deborah’s family and friends Friday March 10th from 5pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Burial will be private.
