HUDSON: Charles M. Barber, 67, passed away from an illness February 1, 2023. His wife, Elaine (Cormier) Barber predeceased him in 2012 and is survived by his son, Dan Barber with wife Alyssa Barber and daughter, Denise Barber-Fustino with husband David Fustino. Charles is predeceased by siblings, Doris Wightman, Dorothy Ryan, Florence Manucci, Theodaore Barber and survived by siblings William Barber, Alice Avey, Rose Maine, Joanne Petruzzelli, Jack Barber & Steven Barber with many nieces and nephews.

Charles was born July 11, 1955 in Framingham, MA - son of the late Doris (Birmingham) and Charles C. Barber. His parents were originally from Redfield, NY. Charles spent many summers there throughout his life, staying proudly connected to his roots. Charles was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, serving from 1973 to 1977.

By trade, Charles worked for several years at Data General and later for Boston Scientific, prior to his retirement. Away from work, he was a true outdoorsman. Charles planned hunting & fishing trips with lifelong friends to Maine or Ohio, where he often visited. Away from the outdoors, Charles had a passion for the elegance and historical allure of classic cars.

All are welcome to gather with Charles’ family and friends on Wednesday February 8th from 3pm to 6pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 to commemorate Charles M. Barber, followed by a prayer service at 6pm in the funeral home. Burial services will be at a later date.
