Obituary for William W. Kramer Jr.

William "Papa" Wade Kramer, Jr. 74, of Attleboro, MA passed away on January 3, 2023, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the husband of Gwendolyn Rose (Lane) Kramer to whom he was married on April 8, 1982.

Born in Worcester, MA on July 28, 1948, he was a son of the late William Wade Kramer, Sr. and the late Rita (St. Andre) Kramer Lewis and her husband, the late Raymond Lewis. He was the brother of the late Henry Kramer. Raised and educated in Grafton, MA, he had been employed many years ago as a cable and wire company manager.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army having served from his enlistment on September 18, 1969, until his honorable discharge on September 18, 1972. He was the recipient of the purple heart, the national defense service medal, bronze star medal, Vietnam service, combat infantryman badge and rifle sharpshooter.

Bill always loved animals, especially his beloved dogs over the years.

In addition to his wife of over 40 years, he was the father of: Tracy Rae Blackwood in Alabama; the late Tammy Rae Kramer; Michael A. Gray and his wife, Bernadette Gray, of Attleboro, MA; Lisa A. Gray and her husband, Charles "Snoop" Peters, of Saco, Maine and Julie D. Araujo and her husband, David Araujo, of Attleboro, MA; "Papa" to his grandchildren: Kelsey, Trevor, Marissa, Austin, Elizabeth, Kahlan and Cameron; and two great grandchildren; a sister: Victoria Dame and brother-in-law Richard of Northboro, MA; several nephews and a niece.

Graveside military honors will be held Friday February 3, 2023 at 11:00am at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
