GRAFTON: Concetta “Connie” Samuels, 97, passed away peacefully December 3, 2022 at Bear Mountain of Sudbury following an illness. She leaves her daughter Jean Pizzimenti and her husband Patrick, grandchildren Michael Pizzimenti and his wife Kristin, Stephen Pizzimenti and his wife Cristin and Laura Pizzimenti, her great-grandchildren Emma, Kenley, Zachary, Jocelyn and Nathan and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of 10 siblings; her brothers and sisters Duke, Carl, Sal, Nancy, Paul, Ann, Molly, Johnny and Mary all predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her husband Aaron Samuels and first husband Salvatore Cannizzaro.

Connie was born in Providence, RI February 7, 1925, daughter of the late Annunziata and Salvatore Bordieri. Her roots were in Brooklyn, NY where she grew up before moving to Long Island NY following WWII. In 1993, she moved to North Grafton, MA to be closer to family. Connie was a seamstress by trade for many years.

Above all else Connie found joy in life; she loved time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always had a love of music and dancing and she never had idle hands and was always working on a puzzle or cross stitch project. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed occasional trips to the casino. She loved to travel and enjoyed winters together with her husband in Fort Myers, Florida for many years.

All are welcome to gather with Connie’s family and friends Friday December 9th from 9-10:30am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Mary’s Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton. In lieu of flowers please remember Connie with a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.StJude.org.
