GRAFTON/WEBSTER: Raymond “Eddie” Banks Sr., 91, of Webster, formerly of North Grafton passed away October 24, 2022 at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Webster. Eddie was the son of the late Lillian (Peloquin) and Arthur L. Banks Sr.
He leaves his daughters Judith Wall and her husband Kevin of Douglas, Debora Dimitry and her husband Daniel of North Grafton, a son Raymond “Eddie” Banks, Jr. and his partner Brenda of Dudley, five grandchildren; Jennifer Gregory and her husband Jason of Millbury, Michael Wall and his wife Amber of Woodstock, CT, Lindsey Maranda of Grafton, Caleigh Ducharme-Banks of Webster and Shane Banks of Northborough, eight great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Gabriel, Lucas, Jacob, Sienna, Brielle, Liam, McKenna, and Tatum and his former wife Ruth Banks of Grafton. Eddie also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Arthur L. Banks, Jr. and Richard A. Banks, Sr.
Eddie was born in North Grafton March 21, 1931 and lived in Grafton most of his life. He was a graduate of Grafton High School and attended Coyne Electrical and Technical School in Boston. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korean War as a Sergeant in the 23rd Infantry. Eddie was an electrician by trade for 38 years at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough and Worcester Electrical Associates. Following his retirement Eddie worked at Home Depot in Shrewsbury. Away from work Eddie was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and looked forward to trips to Cape Cod during the summer.
All are welcome to a Funeral Mass for Eddie Monday October 31st at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church 17 Waterville Street North Grafton, MA 01536. There are no calling hours. He will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
