Obituary for Gail A. Fields
Sutton- Gail A. (Lacilla) Fields, 74, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday October 2, 2022. Her peaceful passing at home on hospice was following a long 7 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Gary L. Fields. Gail was the daughter of the late Nunzy and Mary Lacilla. Gail leaves behind her “Golden child” Michael L. Fields of Grafton, her best friend and daughter Cindy L. Wolochowicz, husband Peter, and her two diamonds, her granddaughters Cali and Brea all of whom resided with her in Sutton. Gail is also survived by her brother and his wife - Brian and Renie Lacilla of Sutton, her sister and her husband, Linda and Jerry Polselli of Grafton, Brother-in-law Ronald Fields, sister-in-law Sandra ( Fields) Goyette. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Norman Cote, and brothers-in-law Bradford Fields and Roger Goyette. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who always enjoyed their time with Auntie Gail.
Gail was born in Worcester, and grew up and Graduated from Grafton High in 1965 before moving to Sutton in 1975. She attended Worcester Girls Trade school for cosmetology. Gail owned and operated Caprice Beauty Salon in Grafton for many years. She also spent several years teaching at Rob Roy Academy in Worcester. A job she truly loved, sharing her passion and knowledge with future cosmetologists.
Gail cherished her quality time with loved ones, especially every second with her two granddaughters. She had an extreme love for the ocean, she spent many summers as a kid and young adult on Cape Cod before spending her summer vacations with her family at Misquamicut Beach RI. Gail always enjoyed watching her kids and especially her granddaughters play sports and dance and would never miss a game. She was the life of the party, always smiling, dancing, and truly enjoying life.
Calling hours for Gail will be held Wednesday October 5th from 4 to 7:00pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester Street, North Grafton. Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday October 6th at 11:00 at St Marys Church 17 Waterville St, North Grafton. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Gail had requested “casual” attire for her services. In Lieu of flowers she has requested that you spread kindness. Pass those flowers onto a loved one, or a stranger and make someone's day!
