Obituary for Jeffrey A. Murphy

Jeffery A. Murphy 38
Jeff, more commonly known as “Murph”, passed away unexpectedly on July 17th 2022 while visiting family in New England. He leaves his brother Brian Murphy and his partner Chelsey Colpitts, and the countless friends he made across the globe. He was predeceased by his parents Judith Ronchetti and George Murphy.

Jeff was born on July 8, 1984 in Newton, MA and his roots were in Grafton. In 2009, He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction Technology. After college, Jeff moved to Watsonville California, where he lived for 15 years, but his true home was wherever his head hit the pillow. Jeff traveled the world including visiting Iceland, Thailand, Vietnam, Ireland, Canada, Spain and New Zealand. As generous as he was worldly, Jeff became a regular host to all those who needed a place to stay for the night (or week) while visiting northern California.

While Jeff was skilled in many areas, riding BMX was his true passion. Those familiar and unfamiliar with BMX often speak of the elegance Jeff displayed on a bike.

With his ginger locks, a smile on his face and a radical soul, Jeff left an unforgettable impression on those he met on his travels.

All are welcome to gather with his family and friends to share some time remembering Jeff together at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester street Grafton Ma. 01536
