GRAFTON: Dorothy (Harris) McCarthy, 102, of Grafton, formerly of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of her home on Wednesday July 6, 2022. She is now reunited with her husband, Jack, and daughter Jean Weyand.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Janet Trippi and her husband Anthony of Shrewsbury, son John McCarthy and his wife Janis of Grafton, daughter Joann Fahey and husband Joseph of Phoenix, AZ. and son James McCarthy of Grafton.
Dorothy graduated from North High in Worcester. Dorothy worked for many years as the Bridal Consultant for Jordan Marsh Company in Worcester and later as an assistant archivist in the archive library at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Dorothy was a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Grafton and a lifelong member of the Eastern Star, Stella Chapter.
Dorothy enjoyed classical music, reading, painting, and being with her family.
Dorothy's family would like to thank Dr. Rebecca Spanagel, the wonderful caregivers at UMass Memorial and the VNA Hospice nurses for all their kind care and understanding.
A private graveside service will be held on a date to be determined.
