Obituary for Judith A. Fagan

GRAFTON: Judith A. (LaBrie) Fagan, 79, passed away May 27, 2022, at home with her loving, cherished, and devoted family by her side. She leaves her husband of 42 years, John Fagan, her children Beth Zastawny, Todd Zastawny and his wife Deborah and Joseph Fagan and his wife Adrianne, her sister Sandra Cadrin, grandchildren Trevor, Jacob, Kathryn and Jonathan, her daughter-in-law Lynne Zastawny and her nieces Susan Kelly and Kathleen Gauthier. She was predeceased by her son Thomas Zastawny and her first husband Mitchell Zastawny.
Judy was born March 13, 1943, in Worcester, daughter of the late Annette (Grenier) and Lawrence LaBrie. She lived and raised her family in Grafton for most of her life before moving to Shrewsbury. Judy was a bookkeeper at Collette Motors in South Grafton and then Samara Auto Sales in Worcester for many years.
Judy’s life was guided by her steadfast faith and was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Philip’s Church in Grafton and was a CCD teacher there for many years.
She was known as “Grammy” to her adoring grandchildren and was always present at school and dance events. Above all else, she treasured spending quality time with family the most. This included weekends and summers at their West Yarmouth home on Cape Cod. She enjoyed gardening, reading and was always ready for a competitive game of “Catch Five” or cribbage with her family. She also loved her “Bridge Group Ladies” and playing Mahjong with her Orchard Meadows friends. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and UConn Women’s Basketball teams.
Judy’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Notre Dame Hospice staff for their guidance and care compassion during her time in their care.
Judy’s family suggests that you honor her with a donation in her memory to Notre Dame Hospice 555 Plantation Street Worcester, MA 01605.
All are welcome to gather with Judy’s family and friends Sunday June 5th from 3pm to 6pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday June 6th at 10am at St. Philip’s Church on West Street in Grafton.
