Obituary for Michelle G. Howarth

GRAFTON: Michelle (Gallant) Howarth, 54, passed away following complications from cancer over many years. She leaves her loving husband of 27 years, Rich Howarth Jr., her daughter Colby Howarth Richford and her husband William, son Paul Howarth, her mother Jeanne (Gauthier) Gallant, her sister Nicole Gallant and her husband Daniel Angelakis and her nephew Christopher Angelakis and niece Katherine Angelakis. Her father Philip Gallant predeceased her. Michelle was born September 11, 1967 in Salem, MA and her roots were there. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State University. Her work experience was as diverse and interesting as she was; she spent several years working at The House of 7 Gables, was also employed at Walt Disney World, then her attention turned to children as she worked at the Grafton Center Playschool as a teacher, and also the Grafton Public Schools as a Teacher’s aide. Away from work she had a profound interest in history which led to her becoming a dedicated participant in Civil War re-enactments up and down the east coast where her family would travel together where they were being hosted. Michelle loved traveling to Walt Disney World as much as she could with family and friends. She also had tireless, hard-working hands and was known for her meticulous cross-stitching and knitting work. Michelle loved being an advisor for Freemason youth groups Demolay Benjamin Franklin Chapter and Rainbow Sandra J Marshall Assembly (formally Framingham Assembly). For more than 2 decades she continued to overcome bout after bout of cancer and living a robust life with the people she cared about. In her memory please consider a memorial donation to The Children’s Dyslexia Center 1 Ionic Avenue Worcester, MA 01608.
