Obituary for Michael Segur

HOLDEN/WORCESTER: Michael Segur, 50, passed away November 6, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his father Donald Segur and his wife Janet, his brother Stephen Segur, his mother Gail Marsh, his long-time companion and caregiver Linda Csaplar, his dear friend Erik Godaire and, of course, his beloved Shih Tzu “Lucy”. Michael was born June 7, 1971 in Worcester, MA, and his roots were in Holden where he lived for most of his life. Michael was a graduate of Wachusett High School in 1989 and later went on to earn a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from The Salter’s School. He worked at Friendly’s for many years and built many friendships with patrons he met there. Closer to home, he was always up for a game of Whist or Pitch and, if you were suspicious that he could count cards, you were probably right. He also loved to try his luck on a day trip to the casino or play a Bingo game with friends. Michael also was a long-time member of Holden Grange. All are welcome to gather with Michael’s family and friends Saturday November 20th from 10-11am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536, followed by a service at 11am in the funeral home. Masks will be required for those attending the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please honor Michael with a donation to the Worcester Animal Rescue League at www.Worcesterarl.org, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606.
