Obituary for Gean W. Hamilton

GRAFTON: Gean (Emino) Hamilton, 97 passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021. Her beloved husband of 76 years, Alvin S. Hamilton passed in July, 2018. Gean leaves 3 sons; Bob Hamilton and his wife Lyn of Plaistow NH, Richard Hamilton and his wife Catherine of Fort Myers FL and John Hamilton and his fiancé Johanna of Hopkinton NH. Six grandchildren; Sherry Woods (John) of Colebrook NH, Amy Rogers (David) of E. Lyme CT, Tabatha Tobey (Selim) of Concord NH, Nicole Hamilton of Hopkinton NH, Scott Hamilton (Amy) of Warren NH and Alyssa Myers of Manchester NH. Great-Grandchildren; Alyssa, Riley, Tanner, Lauren, Kyle, Alexandria, Yasemin & Kaitlyn. Great-Great-Granddaughter, Ivey.
In addition to her husband, Gean was predeceased by her son Thomas Hamilton, Sister Evelyn Martineau, and brother Gerald Emino.
Born in Grafton, MA on December 16, 1923 she was the daughter of the late George and Alma (Crouse) Emino.
Gean graduated from Grafton High School in 1941. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church of Grafton where she developed many lasting friendships. She was happiest when spending time with family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed family camping trips, square dancing and visiting family. After relocating to Bow, NH in the 1960s, she helped as the bookkeeper for the family business. In their later years she and Al enjoyed many winters in Florida.
Gean was a woman of impeccable style and the embodiment of “beautiful things come in small packages” with her small stature and love for all things pink and shiny. To know her was to observe her tremendous dedication to cleanliness; a trait which has been passed on to future generations and affectionately referred to by those who have acquired it as the “clean gene”. She possessed a keen eye for detail and devoted love, time, and care to all that she did. While she will be missed in the hearts of many, Gean will live on through the memories she provided during the long healthy, happy life she was blessed to have.

A calling hour will be held for Gean Saturday January 30th from 10am-11am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Gean's services and burial will be private.
