Obituary for Claudia R. Boucher

WORCESTER: Claudia R. Boucher, 82, of Worcester, Massachusetts, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, passed away December 12, 2020. She was predeceased by her mother, Priscilla Demboski (Webber); father, Ernest Burden, Sr.; first husband, Francis Paradis; second husband, Donald Boucher; sisters Faith Reilly (Burden), and Patricia Champie (Burden), and brothers Rodman Libbey, and Dennis Libbey. She is also predeceased by a son and grandson who died shortly after birth.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Paradis; son-in-law, James William Tolles; grandchildren, Brian Tolles, Kevin Tolles, Daniel Tolles; daughter, Michele Paradis; stepdaughter, Chelli Tennis (Boucher); son-in-law, Kerry Tennis; grandchildren, Jessica Bradford, Heather Bradford, Jonathan Bradford, Joshua Tennis, Jeremy Tennis; eight great-grandchildren; stepson, Christopher Boucher; daughter-in-law, Kelly Boucher; grandson, Samuel; brother Frederick (Ricky) Libbey; brother Ernest Burden, Jr.; and sisters, Lynn Pottle (Demboski), and Anne Brickley (Demboski). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

Claudia grew up in the Brookfield and Northbridge area, graduating from Northbridge High School in 1956. She was an Army wife to her first husband, Francis, and lived in both Kentucky and France before returning to settle in Grafton, Massachusetts, with her husband and mother-in-law whom she developed a close relationship with. After she moved out of Grafton, Massachusetts, she relocated to Westborough, Massachusetts, and eventually settled into Worcester, Massachusetts.

She loved going to the casino with her cousin, Maggie, reading, going out to eat, spending time at the water, and shopping for bargains. She also loved listening to talk shows about current events relating to politics. However, she always knew how to find common ground and never let that get in the way of relationships with family and friends. She attended church regularly at Lakeview Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. If you went to visit her house, you could always count on a home cooked meal and great conversation.

She was a caring woman who raised her brothers, children and grandchildren and taught them the value of family, to act morally and responsibly, and to love unconditionally. Growing up she made family the main priority, devoting her young adulthood to raising her three brothers, Ricky, Roddy, and Dennis Libbey. You could go to her for advice and words of wisdom. She loved her family above all else, especially her grandchildren, and was a hands-on grandmother and passed on valuable lessons to them. She was loved dearly by everyone.

Services will be at Lakeview Church on Coburn Avenue in Worcester, Massachusetts as soon as family and friends can safely gather. Any family and friends are welcome to attend to share their favorite memories.
