Catherine "Kitty" Jacques
GRAFTON: Catherine A. “Kitty” Jacques, 82, passed away April 26, 2020 at Shrewsbury Nursing Home. Kitty leaves her beloved husband of 56 years, Albert L. Jacques, daughter Diane Jacques and grandson Jeremy Jacques all of South Grafton. She also leaves her great-grandson Nolan Jacques of Douglas, her sister MaryEllen (Kavanagh) O’Meara of South Grafton, 2 brothers; Francis “Frank” Kavanagh and his wife Mary of Auburn, and William “Willie” Kavanagh of Galway, Ireland, 2 brother-in-laws; Francis Jacques and Norman Jacques and his wife Elizabeth of South Grafton along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James and Julia (Melia) Kavanagh. Kitty came to the United States from Ireland in 1957 and worked at the former Worcester State Hospital. She later became a CAN working for more than 25 years at Keith Hill Nursing Home in Grafton, Sunshine Home in Millbury and Shrewsbury Nursing Home from where she retired in 2005. Kitty spent half her life caring for the loved ones of countless families. She will be sadly missed. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to Shrewsbury Nursing Home for their compassionate care over the past 5 years, Emily and Patty from the JHC Hospice team for their guidance and Roney Funeral Home for their help during this difficult time. Kitty’s memorial services and burial be at her family’s convenience.
