Obituary

Obituary for Joseph H. Girouard

GRAFTON: Joseph H. Girouard, 88, passed away peacefully January 3, 2020 at home. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Beatrice (Robinson) Girouard, his children Elizabeth Kaczmarek and her husband Warner Stringfellow, Mark Girouard and his wife Erica, John Girouard and his wife Sharon and Christine Crowell and her husband Bobby, his grandchildren Heather and Erich Kaczmarek, Christopher and Matthew Girouard and Emma, Ethan, Anna and Adam Crowell, and his great-grandchildren Michael, Kiera, Aiden, Theia and Freyja. He was predeceased by his first wife Pat (McGee) Girouard and son Joey Girouard. Joseph was born December 14, 1931 in Worcester and he grew up in the city. Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Following his work as a tv repairman he joined Alden Electronics in Westborough where he worked his way in to the role of Plant Manager before eventually assuming the CEO and President title during his 30 years there. Away from work he was known for his sharp wit, dry humor and generosity that his family loved. For years summers were spent on Cape Cod where Joe and his family enjoyed blessed memories. He loved his family and adored spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of traditional remembrances please honor Joe with donations to VNA Hospice Care 120 Thomas St. Worcester MA 01608. All are welcome to gather with Joe’s family Tuesday January 7th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. Burial will be private.
