Condolence: Very saddened to see this... My husband and I were talking about places/ bands from "the good ol days". I mentioned I had worked at Kastles Keep and Don & Sues band "Down East" played there. Decided to look up info for ol times sake. Saw Susans obituary. She was always a bright light with her smile, super woman and I'm so sad to learn of her passing 2 years ago.Even in her passing, she thought of others. Rest in peace, sweet Angel ❤️

Condolence: My mother and I share the fondest memories of Sue while working at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Down East was one of the premier wedding bands we were lucky to enjoy during our employment there. Condolence: My sincere condolences go out to the whole family on the passing of Susan. It was unfair that she was affected by the terrible disease at such a young age. The bright light, that was Susan, shown most when she was on stage. Whether she was performing at a wedding (in the early days with her accordion), The Seaport Lounge or The Kastle's Keep. She always understood that she was in the "entertainment business." And 'entertain' is what she did on a nightly basis! Her energy and positive attitude always took center stage. Many have vivid memories of Susan, with the headband and workout clothes, singing Olivia Newton-John's song, "Physical" or in rock 'n' roll outfits, crushing it on Pat Benatar's "Hit Me with Your Best Shot!" Over the past 25 years, I have frequently met people who remember "Down East." So often, the first thing they recall is how much they loved Susan. Rest In Peace, my friend.
