Obituary for Pauline M. Blanchette

WORCESTER: Pauline (Johnson) Blanchette passed away on October 4th, her 88th birthday, following a short illness. Her husband of 55 years Albert Blanchette passed away in 2006. Pauline leaves her children William Blanchette and his wife Regenia, Doreen Beauregard and her husband Paul and Brian Blanchette and his wife Marinelle, her grandchildren Daniel and Michael Beauregard and Sheryl Szufat and Todd, Emily Baier, Jason and Anna Blanchette, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Kilmonis. Pauline was born October 4, 1931 in Millbury, MA and her roots were in both Millbury and Worcester. She spent many years with her husband Albert living across the globe in Spain, Italy and eventually Virginia as he served in the U.S. Navy. Pauline was happy close to home where she would tend to her gardens, cook for her family and find the many joys of being a “Meme” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her Red Hat meetings and was always quick to lend a hand to anyone that needed one. At age 85 she realized a life long dream when she finally got the motorcycle ride she had always imagined. In lieu of flowers please honor Pauline with a donation to The Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter at www.alz.org/manh. All are welcome to gather with Pauline’s family and friends Tuesday October 8th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for her Wednesday October 9th at 10:30am at Notre Dame Healthcare Center 555 Plantation Street Worcester, MA 01605. She will then be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. A Book of Memories to share a memory of Pauline or message of sympathy with her family is available online at:
