Obituary for Dennis A. Pickett

HOLDEN: Dennis was raised in Millbury and lived in Grafton for many years before moving to California and eventually back to Holden for the last 12 years. He was pre-deceased by his brother David and his parents Ray and Ruth Pickett. Dennis worked for Reliable Cash Register for many years before accepting a position with Printronix which brought him to California. Upon retirement he moved back to Holden to be close to his family. Dennis had many different interests including fishing, tinkering with and repairing anything mechanical. He also held a pilot’s license for many years and would fly as much as he could. He loved to ride his Harley Duce Softail. Dennis has built several hot rods and had a love for drag racing. His dream of building and racing a car was realized with a 1971 Camaro that he and Dan built together and raced over the last few years.

Dennis leaves behind his son Dan and his wife Shelby, grandkids Abigail, Delaney and Patrick, his first love Diane Pickett and second love Katie Pickett and many friends made over the years.

His family will receive friends on Saturday August 10th from 10-11am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by a prayer service at 11am in the funeral home. Please honor Dennis with casual attire for all those attending the prayer service. Burial will be private at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice Home 120 Thomas St. Worcester, MA 01608.
