Condolence: Betty was such a dear friend--I think everyone who knew her would say the same thing. Her smile lit up a room; she just sparkled. Betty was proud of her family, partial to ice cream, delighted at celebrations, and self-conscious about her homemade coffee (her children had a role in this, I think). When you asked her to pray for someone you knew that she would--often, and by name. I once made the trek out to North Grafton when we hadn't seen her for a while, on a mission to cheer her up; but in the end, I was the one who left lighter of heart.
