He also leaves his brother Paul Maranda and his wife Marisa, his sister-in-law Cheryl Maranda,13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Maranda and his grandsons Edward and Michael Maranda. Adrian was born at his family home in Grafton June 25, 1938, son of the late Eleanore (Matthews) and Adrian Maranda, Sr., and he spent the early years of his life there. He met his wife Jeannette in the busy kitchen at Buggy Whip Catering in South Grafton where they were both working. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was steadfast in his patriotism throughout his life. Always hard working he spent several years at Wyman Gordon before he found himself behind the wheel driving tractor trailers for nearly 30 years. He was a volunteer firefighter at Station 3 in South Grafton and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Away from work he was known to be able to fix just about anything that was broken, he was easily found on Naragansett Bay during the summer with a fishing rod in hand or taking a ride on his motorcycle. Closer to home he was happiest with his family close by and gardens to tend to outside. In lieu of traditional remembrances please honor Adrian with a donation to support Salmon Hospice 37 Birch St. Milford, MA 01757.
