My sincerest condolences to the entire Quilliam family on the loss of Bruce. My name is Terry Gallaher and I worked for Bruce for 3 years (1996-1999) at Perretta Graphics. Bruce (along with Denise Reily) gave a very young man right out of college a chance to manage the Midwest Territory for the company. Your Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend was a terrific boss, but more importantly he taught me many life lessons. He taught me how to travel, how to conduct myself in meetings, how to ask for the business and more importantly how to think. When I would pick Bruce up at O'Hare or any other airport the very first question he would ask of me after how I was doing was "where are we eating?". We never had a bad meal. I fondly remember times driving from Chicago to Milwaukee or from Eau Claire, WI to Minneapolis and talking with Bruce about anything and everything. We had a common bond in baseball. I as a die-hard Cubs fan and Bruce as a die-hard Red Sox fan. My very first week on the job I was training at the home office in Poughkeepsie and Bruce drove us down to the Bronx for my very first game at old Yankee Stadium. It was the Red Sox vs. the Yankees (Roger Clemens was pitching for the Sox that night) and it was a memorable life experience I cherish to this day.
When I heard about Bruce passing I was flooded with so many memories. Bruce has left a lasting impression on me twenty years later. I know Bruce is in heaven with his loving wife and looking down fondly on everyone wondering what you will be eating for dinner tonight. God bless all of you during this difficult time and thank you for allowing me to share some memories.
Sincerely,
Terry Gallaher
