Condolences

Condolence From: Nancy Maki
Condolence: I cherish the memory of sitting in Dick's kitchen with a glass of champagne, talking about all the topics of Dick's fascinating life. My Poodle Makenzie peacefully lieing near Maggie, Dick tells me of the time that his Standard Poodle gave birth to a litter of puppies while he was away traveling! How he loved that Poodle, and those puppies, and having my girl come to visit him! A very special memory is that of one Sunday afternoon that Dick and Mary came to my house to visit. We had Sunday dinner, and then sat in the big room playing with a litter of 10 baby poodles....all taking turns in his lap! They were all of 5 weeks old, and gave him many many kisses and snuggles! I will miss him so much....the discussions of politics, Grafton, our homes, the Farm...and all of his solid, thoughtful, caring advice. I wish I had known him longer. I pray he meets my Mom, Dad and Kennedy in Heaven....sleep peacefully my friend.

Condolence: I am so very sorry to learn of Dick’s passing. I promised that I would send him a book a friend of mine was writing about how animals communicate. I just received my copy and was searching for him in hopes that we could arrange a time to visit. Sadly, my search brought me here. Although the times we shared were brief, they are indelibly marked in my soul. I absolutely loved learning about your place in Maine (he showed me pictures), thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of 5:00 champagne happy hour, played the piano for him, learned about a famous needlepoint designer, and discussed the finer points of religion! He is deeply missed, I’m sure. Thank you for enabling me to meet him.

Condolence: To The Harris Family, Thank you for sharing this brief and touching story into your dad’s life. It’s easy to see how he was able to raise five loving children. His capacity to give, create stability and his understanding of quality time are blessings from a father of any generation. Our deepest sympathies to the whole family, Shelly and Larsson
