Obituary for Evelyn M. Iglar

SUTTON/FITCHBURG: Evelyn M. Iglar (King), 98 formerly of Fitchburg, MA. died June 27, 2018 after a short illness at St. Camillus Health Center
in Northbridge, MA. Evelyn was born May 12, 1920 in Fitchburg, MA. the daughter of the late William and Mary (Flannery) King.
Evelyn married her loving husband, Leo J. Iglar on November 10, 1942. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before Leo passed
on December 7, 2009. Evelyn is survived by her only daughter, Patricia Saviet and her husband Mark of Sutton ,MA. her grandchildren
Jonathan Saviet and his wife, Kimberly Morrill of Seattle, WA., Dr. Benjamin Saviet and his fiancée, Lauren Wentworth of Fitchburg, MA.
and Nathaniel Saviet and his wife, Lauren Penney Saviet of West Orange, NJ. and the parents of her great-grand son, Colton Leo Saviet.
Evelyn was also the sister of the late Theresa Chaume Janhunen. Aunt to Carol Raynor of Ashburnham, MA, late Debra Diaz, of
Gardner, MA.and Norma Conlon of Worcester, MA. She was Grand Aunt to Alecia Meunier, Noah Raynor and his wife Christine, and
Kayla Conlon, Olivia Conlon and Hannah Conlon. Evelyn leaves many other extended family and friends.
Evelyn worked for Independent Lock Co. where she met her husband, Leo during WWII and later Montachusett Regional HS as a cafeteria server and Catholic Charities of Fitchburg, MA as a health aide. She was active in the British American Club and active member of her parish, Sacred Heart Church Fitchburg, MA. Evelyn loved traveling to England, Canada and especially to NH. The family and friends have fond memories of summers at her house at Hampton Beach, NH. enjoying deep sea fishing, barbeques with steamers and lobsters and great days at the beach.
A funeral service is scheduled in the chapel for 11:00 AM on July 20,2018 at Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery 111 Glenallen Street Winchendon, MA 01475. All are welcome to attend the service with reception following. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to the St. James Memorial Fund. St. James Church 89 Main St .South Grafton, MA01560. The family would like to thank all
