Obituary for Peter T. Niggemann

GRAFTON: Peter T. Niggemann, 53, passed away unexpectedly at home April 23, 2018. Born June 3, 1964 in Danville, Indiana Peter relocated to Massachusetts 30 years ago and happily called New England, and most recently Grafton, home. For many years Peter carved a niche for himself working in the high-tech field. He learned to write code many years earlier and became known to colleagues as a fantastic programmer. While his work may have tapped into his meticulous nature and intelligence, it was not what defined him. Peter prized life experiences and the joy that came with engaging in them with his family and friends. While his immediate family was still living in the Midwest he remained close with them throughout his time in New England, always prioritizing his time away from work to travel to Illinois when he could for holidays and hosting his siblings and parents. Visiting Peter always brought forth a thoughtful itinerary that included visits to Boston, Providence or Cape Cod and often an impromptu barbecue at a favorite spot nearby, always ensuring to take full advantage of a beautiful day with those who mattered most to him. His interests were broad; he seldom could turn away from a puzzle, an origami project or a chance to add to eclectic collections of memorabilia that adorned his home. Over the years he relished the opportunity to go fishing with his brother and friends and was always open to trying something new. If you knew Peter you will remember a giving, intelligent, kind and generous man that savored the life he had though it was far too short. He is survived by his parents Sandra (Gray) and Richard Niggemann, His brother Mark Niggemann and his wife Lesley, hie sister Sue Delsol and her husband Lenin, brother Scott Niggemann and his fiancé Laura Trippiedi and his nieces and nephews Anna, James, Collin and Kelly. All are welcome to gather with Peter’s family and friends Friday May 4th from 5pm to 8pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by a Remembrance Service at 8pm in the funeral home. A private internment at a later date.
