Obituary for Christian N. Onorato

GRAFTON: Christian N. Onorato, 31, a loving, loyal son, brother, friend passed away on January 15, 2018 in an auto accident. He is survived by his parents Ellen (Davis) Onorato and Nicholas Onorato, Jr., his dearest siblings Sarah and Daniel Onorato along with several aunts, uncles and cousins in Massachusetts and California. Christian was born July 13, 1986 in Worcester. He lived in a fun Worcester neighborhood until 1994 when the family moved to Grafton. He attended Grafton schools, played team soccer and graduated from GHS. He then studied seacoast environment for two years at URI before earning his Bachelor’s degree in communications from Worcester State University. Since 2011 he has worked as an Instructor/manager at The Little Gym in Westborough where he so loved the children and many of them adored “Mr. Christian”. Friends and family knew “always expect the unexpected” in Christian’s unique perspectives of life and humor. He had a profound knowledge of sports, often winning fantasy football and especially fond of the Miami Hurricanes, Patriots, MMA as well as an off-beat pursuit of finding and creating music, art. He sought out life’s philosophies and though mature and responsible, retained many childlike qualities of innocence, mischief and very strong character traits. Like it or not, he was always honest and open with his thoughts. He loved to visit his Aunts Laurie, Sara and late Aunt Susan on Cape Cod where they kayaked, clammed, gathered with friends, ate lobster and pepperoni pizza and relaxed in the hot tub. He dearly loved his close friends, extended family and pets.
All are welcome to calling hours with Christian’s family Saturday January 20th from 10am-12pm at Roney Funeral Home followed by remembrances and stories from family for a celebration of Christian’s life at 12pm in the funeral home. Final prayers will be delivered by his Uncle, Pastor John Whelan to close. Final burial will be private.
