GRAFTON: Karl E. Hubbard, 69, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Vincent Hospital on October 5, 2017. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Mary (Olson) Hubbard, daughter Kathleen Hubbard, son Keith Hubbard and his wife Mary (Dobas), and grandson Jackson Hubbard. He also leaves his brother Andrew Hubbard and partner Lorraine Grant, niece Joan Marie Proulx and husband Michael, grandniece Kelly Proulx and partner John, grandnephew Dennis Pritchard, great grandnephew Lucas Santos, sister-in-law Linda Pearlstein and husband David, and nephews Christopher Mazza and Andrew Mazza. He was predeceased by his mother Marjorie Hubbard, sister Marjorie Hubbard, and niece Marianne Pritchard. Karl worked as a chemist at Dennison Manufacturing for many years, then for Home Depot before retiring. He attended Grafton High School and Framingham State University. Karl was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest when fishing. He was very proud of his 3 year old grandson’s recent first catch while fishing with his Dad in Savannah, Georgia. He also enjoyed finding great treasures at estate and yard sales. In lieu of flowers, Karl’s family requests memorial donations to Massachusetts Audubon Society 20 S. All are welcome to gather with Karl’s family and friends Wednesday October 11th from 9:30-11:00am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by a Remembrance service at 11am in the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton.
