WORCESTER: Patrick E. “Rick” Thibodeau, Jr., 67, passed away February 1, 2017 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy (Trainor) Thibodeau, his sisters Michelle Hall and her husband William and Margaret Powers and her husband David and his brother Paul Thibodeau and Charlie Chase along with an aunt, uncle and several cousins, nieces and nephews. His brother Peter Thibodeau predeceased him. Rick was born March 1, 1949 in Worcester son of the late Claire (Normandin) and Patrick E. Thibodeau, Sr. His roots were in the Green Hill Park neighborhood in Worcester. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Rick had talented hands and spent meaningful time crocheting for many years and was happy to make gifts for family and friends. Gatherings and time spent with family were what meant most to him. His family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at 2 Lakeside ICU at UMass Memorial in Worcester for their compassion and kindness.
