Marguerite A. Lynch
GRAFTON: Marguerite (Desmarais Papineau) Lynch passed away on Monday November 28, 2016 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge, MA. Marguerite is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Richard B. Lynch and their three children, Carol A. Hoyt in Aurora, CO, Richard J. Lynch and partner Joy Walters in San Diego,CA, and Robert W. Lynch in Upton, MA, five grandchildren: Kimberly Curry in Roxboro,NC, Gregory Hoyt in Thornton,CO, Nicole Park in San Diego, CA, Brian Lynch in San Diego,CA and Sara Lynch in Upton, MA. She also leaves four Great-Grandchildren, four Great-Great Grandchildren, four nephews, one niece, and her Sister-In-Law Eileen Dumas. Marguerite was born in Central Falls, RI on April 6, 1927, daughter of the late Emilia (Landry) Desmarais and Nalbert Desmarais. At age seven, Marguerite lost her mother, Emilia, to breast cancer and at age 10 was adopted by her loving paternal aunt, Emma (Desmarais) Papineau and her husband Napoleon Papineau. Marguerite went to Fisherville Elementary School and attended Grafton High School. Marguerite worked for a while at the Upton Hat Shop and then worked for many years at Glass King Market in Grafton as a cashier and then as a bookkeeper before retiring at age 62 when she then worked briefly for the Worcester office of Shaw’s Market. Above all Marguerite loved her family unconditionally. Marguerite loved sewing, quilting, reading and dancing. Marguerite and Richard spent many years with their camping trailer in Sharon, VT relaxing and fishing the White River. They also spent over 16 years at a condo each summer on a beautiful beach in Aruba. Marguerite was a member of St. James Church and The Daughters of Isabella. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, will be greatly missed, until we meet again. All are welcome to gather with Marguerite’s family and friends Monday December 5th from 9:30-11:00am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A prayer service will be held at 11:00am in the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at St. Phillip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
