Obituary for Nancy L. McClure (Kelly)

GRAFTON: Nancy L. (Kelly) McClure, 80, peacefully passed away November 13, 2016 surrounded by her devoted family following complications from a recent illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Francis B. McClure, her nine children: Michael F. McClure and his wife Daintria, Daniel P. McClure and Nancy Curran, Lawrence D. McClure and his wife Ruth, Thomas J. McClure and Susan, Steven M. McClure and his wife Carol, Lori A. Simpson and Mike Robertson and Timothy J. McClure. She was predeceased by her daughters Patricia A. Allen and Cheryl A. Atchue, grandson Shane McClure and brother-in-law Connie J. McClure. She also leaves her sisters Jane B. Lewis and Patricia K. Knowlton, 31 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her brothers-in-law David McClure and his wife Connie and Louis McClure, sisters-in-law Ann Marie Ambrose and her husband Carl and Chris McClure and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Nancy was born July 13, 1936 in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Janice L. (Hall) and Thomas M. Kelly. Her roots were in Grafton where she attended Grafton High School Class of 1954 and never missed a class reunion in the years that followed. She and her husband Francis raised their family in North Grafton, spent their summers in Vinalhaven Maine and many winters in Florida. Closer to home Nancy was the proud matriarch of her family who will dearly miss their loving mother, “Gram” and “Great-Grandma.” She was always a woman of faith and devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in North Grafton. Nancy also leaves many friends, some of whom would gather for a friendly Friday night game of Skip-O. All are welcome to gather with Nancy’s family Thursday November 17 from 3pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday November 18 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church in North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest at St. Phillip Cemetery in Grafton.
