Obituary for Phyllis M. Cote

GRAFTON: Phyllis M. (Lacilla) Cote, 75, passed away surrounded by loving family on Sunday October 30, 2016 following a brief hospital stay and after bravely battling Alzheimer’s for a number of years. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Norman H. Cote, and their daughter Kim Marie Cote, whom Phyllis and Norman have lived with in Grafton.
She also leaves a brother and his wife – Brian and Renie Lacilla of Sutton, two sisters and their husbands – Gail and Gary Fields of Sutton, and Linda and Jerry Polselli of Grafton. Also, 8 nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews, and 3 step children. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Nunzy and Mary Lacilla. She was born in Worcester, graduated from Commerce High School, and moved to Grafton with her family in 1961. Her career was varied, including working at City Hospital, Inglewood Nursing Home, Natalie’s Hilltop, Iandoli’s and Shaw’s.
Phyllis cherished her quality time with loved ones, including summers on Cape Cod with Norman, Kim and extended family and friends, family trips to Florida, sightseeing car drives with Norman, travelling to concert destinations with Kim, and in her later years, watching movies with one of her caregivers, Mike Mars.
Calling hours for Phyllis will be held Friday November 4th from 5 to 8:00pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester Street, North Grafton. Her funeral will be held Saturday November 5th at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
