Obituary for
MATTHEW F. ZIOBROWSKI Jr.
GRAFTON: Matthew F. Ziobrowski, Jr., age 73, passed away November 1, 2014 following an illness. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Louise (McLaughlin) Ziobrowski, his daughter Mary Beth Fiore and her husband Steven, and his grandchildren Matthew, Michael and Emma. Matt was born November 22, 1940 in Providence, RI, son of the late Blanche (Anoskivitsky) and Matthew F. Ziobrowski, Sr. He served with pride in the US Air Force. While stationed in Northern Maine, he met his wife Mary Louise where they danced their first dance at "The Outpost". He later taught her to love dancing the polka. Following his military service he attended Bryant College in Rhode Island. Matt was employed at John Hancock for many years and later in life opened his own business as a Third Party Plan Administrator for retirement plans. Matt found the greatest joy in life's simpler things: picnics at Newport, visiting the "Big E", going to coin shows with his grandson Matthew, taste testing for Michael and Emma's food creations, cheering for the Red Sox at Fenway and making s'mores in his backyard. He savored NY system hot dogs at Olneyville Square in Providence. He looked forward to his reunion trips with his military friends from his service on Johnston Island. On Sunday mornings he was famous for cooking home fries and pancakes while listening to music. Those who knew Matt remember a proud, fun-loving man who adored his family, particularly his grandchildren who will miss their beloved "Grampa". In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Matthew F. Ziobrowski, Jr. may be made to UMMF-Bobby's Bullpen in support of The UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center.
