Obituary for BRONIA V. "BERNICE" ZANAUSKAS

GRAFTON: Bronia V. "Bernice" (Sokolinikas) Zanauskas, 93, of South Grafton passed September 23, 2013. Her husband of 58 years, Anthony J. Zanauskas passed in 2001. She leaves her three children, Daniel B. Zanauskas and his wife Donna of Auburn, Donna P. Zanauskas and her Fiancee Donald Auger of Oxford and David J. Zanauskas and his wife Susan of Spencer; One brother, Brunius Sokolinikas in Lithuania; Five grandchildren, Kristine Gaffney and her husband Richard, Daniel A. Zanauskas and his wife Kelley, Peter, John and Michael Zanauskas; Five great grandchildren, Katie, Danielle, Emily, Avery, Evan and several nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mickalina (Zikaras) Sokolinikas and a brother Steve Sokol. She was born July 19 1920 in Worcester. She then returned to Lithuania at nine months old, returned to Worcester at age 17 and moved to Grafton in 1954. Mrs. Zanauskas worked 23 years at Tupper Plastics Co. in South Grafton retiring in 1982. She was a parishioner of St. James Church in South Grafton, a member of its Women's Guild, a member of The Daughters of Isabella and its St. Margaret's Circle # 300 and a member of The Lithuanian Women's Club in Worcester. Funeral Mass & Calling Hours
The funeral will be Thursday September 26th with people gathering at 8: am at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton and then taking her to St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 9: AM. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday September 25th from 3 to 7 PM at The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
