Obituary for Gerald J. Sullivan

GRAFTON: It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Gerald J. Sullivan on November 5, 2022. He was 81.

A native son of Worcester MA, he was born on April 30, 1941. His love of building and construction led him to Northeastern University where he studied civil engineering. For the next 50+ years, he applied his skills with such companies as Draper’s and JRM before starting his own custom home building business. His work took him to nearly every corner of the world.

He married his dear wife Zita Elizabeth Sullivan (née Speroni) from Milford, MA in 1965. They traveled the world and just celebrated their 57th anniversary in October. They touched so many lives throughout their journey together and have left an indelible mark with all they have met and supported. Jerry’s love of family, friends, construction, travel and golf were the foundation of his life. His quick wit and sincerity will never be forgotten.

Gerald (“Papa”) is survived by his wife, Zita, their two loving children Gerald Jr. and Amy Curran (née Sullivan) and their respective loving spouses, Rachel and Tom, and his four grand daughters, Lily, Claire, Jane and Eleanor.

All are welcome to gather with Jerry's family and friends to celebrate and remember him Tuesday November 8th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Burial will be private.
