Obituary for Aime D. Boucher

Aime D. Boucher
GRAFTON: Aime D. Boucher, 75, passed away peacefully at home Friday September 28, 2018 from medical complications.
He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 50 years, Susan (Dauphinais) Boucher, his two daughters Cherie Dupont Kent and her husband Steven, Christi Chludenski and her husband Chet, his son Scott Boucher and his fiancée Kristin Hofford, and his former son-in-law Mike Dupont. He also leaves his grandchildren; Madison and Reece Dupont, Jamie Cusson, Brooklyn, Brady, Camden and Kason Chludenski, Camryn Fife, and great grandson, Riley. His in-laws, Diane Roney, Roger and Cindy Dauphinais, and Arthur Moran are also going to miss him as well. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Florida (Tremblay) Boucher and his sisters Doris (Boucher) Tessier and Pauline (Boucher) Moran.
Upon graduation from Holy Name High School, he entered the military. Aime was a proud American and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, 2nd Class Radarman. After his honorable discharge in 1965, he pursued his Bachelor Degree from Worcester State College and began his career as a foreign language teacher at Worcester East Middle School where he had a positive impact on the lives of thousands of students in his 30 years of service in the Worcester Public Schools. He was a life long learner who continued his education by obtaining his Master’s Degree from Assumption College and his CAGS in administration from Fitchburg State College at the same time his daughter Christi graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree. During his tenure, he took upon the role of Foreign Language Department Head, encouraging, supporting, and leading teachers to reach their potential. His work ethic was a model for his children. Over the years, along with being a teacher, he was a night watchman, paper delivery man, beer pourer at Gillette Stadium and owner and operator of Clean Cut Lawn and Shrub Care, a landscaping business. After retirement in 2001, Aime continued to work. He worked at S & S Auto Parts before going to Herb Chambers Honda in Westboro as a valet, where he was still employed.
In his free time, he attended events for his grandchildren, was an avid reader, loved SUDOKU, cruising to Bermuda with his wife, going to Foxwoods, and cheering on his beloved Boston teams.
Friends, family, and acquaintances alike, will forever miss his smile, laughter, and “dad joke” sense of humor.
All are welcome to gather with Aime’s family Tuesday October 2nd from 3pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Aime Wednesday October 3rd at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. He will then be laid to rest at Notre Dame Mausoleum in Worcester.
