Obituary for Raymond J. Leger

WHITINSVILLE: Raymond Joseph “Ray” Leger, 76, went to eternal rest on May 7, 2018 after a brave battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He leaves his daughter, Fay Bulak and her husband Tony of Douglas and two grandsons, Tony Bulak of Hoboken, NJ and Ryan Bulak of Douglas. He also leaves a sister Elaine Ruble and her husband John of Longwood, Florida. He was married to the late Anne Fay (Brooks) for 32 years and a 2nd marriage to the late Gloria (Fontaine). Mr. Leger was born in Grafton, the son of the late Aurele Joseph and Claire Irene (Frazier) Leger. He attended Boys Trade in Worcester. He was employed by UPS, Grafton School System and Price Chopper in Auburn before retiring. Mr. Leger was a NASCAR fan, recently enjoying a ride as a passenger for several laps at Daytona Speedway in Florida. Mr. Leger was also an avid model car collector. He enjoyed going to Cruising nights and was able to tell you the year, make, and model of most any car. He enjoyed watching his grandsons grow into young men and frequent trips for ice cream with friends. Ray spent his final days at St. Camillus Health Center. On behalf of his family we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the “angels” that cared for Ray. All are welcome to gather with Ray’s family Friday May 11th from 5pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Ray Saturday May 12th at 10am at St. James Church 89 Main St. S. Grafton MA 01560. He will then be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please honor Ray with a memorial donation to St. Camillus Healthcare 447 Hill St. Whitinsville, MA 01588 or to Parkinson’s Foundation at www.Parkinson.org.
