The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Albert Ratkiewicz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Memories

Uncle Al was a gentle soul and generous.

Over the years, I had fun at his homes in Grafton with my cousins Sue and Ken. Uncle Al always enjoyed a good story or joke (no matter how corny the joke). He made my sisters and brothers many tasty sandwiches on our trips to the lakes in Mass.

At Easter, he gave us a jar of his homemade horseradish and on Christmas eve, a gift of a frozen kielbasa.

One my earliest memories of Uncle Al is him washing dishes in the "boutra" with Polish music playing on the radio in his first home in Grafton.

His engineering skills were on display when he built a popcorn bike for the contest in the July 4th parade.

Uncle Al's joy for life carries on today in his lovely and loving children and grandchildren.
