Obituary for Anthony J. DuVerger

AUBURN: Anthony J. DuVerger, 78, passed away peacefully at home September 12, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elaine (Manchester) DuVerger, his daughter Deborah Brooks, son Albert DuVerger and grandchildren Abbigail and Richard Paquin. His sister Doris Post predeceased him.
Tony was born April 17, 1939 in New Bedford, MA where he spent his early years. He worked as a machinist at Jamesbury in Shrewsbury for 33 years. He and his wife called Grafton home for more than 35 years where they raised their children. Many summers were spent by the pool, which he took great pride in maintaining. Tony was happiest close to home where he would follow the Boston Red Sox all summer and usher in the fall with the New England Patriots. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge in Auburn. His family knew him for his unrelenting wit, and ability to put a smile on anyone’s face that he met. He was crazy about his grandchildren, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loved ones.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for all they did during Tony’s illness. Please honor Tony with donations to Beacon Hospice 36 Williams St. Leominster, MA 01453. Funeral services and burial for Tony were private at his family’s convenience and were under the care of Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
