Obituary for Earl W. Ross

WORCESTER: Earl Ross passed away peacefully at his home on June 16, 2017. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss Earl and his stories.
Earl and Nellie, his wife of 71 years, raised their 2 children in Grafton, MA where they lived 35 years. They returned to Worcester in their retirement.
Earl served proudly in the US Army during World War II. He retired from Norton Company (Saint Gobain) after 35 years of loyal service. He enjoyed fishing and fixing anything that needed his attention. Most recently, he enjoyed walking, a good puzzle, reading a good book, watching the ball game and playing Bingo. He was so proud to have been presented the Key to the City, as a centenarian earlier this year.
He is survived by his loving wife Nellie (Zaparaska) Ross; his 2 children Dianne and Rick and his wife Tricia; 5 grandchildren, Carissa Baines, her husband Jerrell; Kevin Kett; David Ross, his wife Dominique, Jaclyn Zaker, her husband Adam; and Matthew Ross. He also had 4 great-grandchildren; Trevor Kett, Alexa Kett, Hayley Ross and Adelynn Zaker.
A heartfelt thanks to the Executives and staff at Christopher Heights for their compassion and care for Earl and his family. A private committal service is being held. There will be no calling hours.
