Obituary for James M. Nault

James M. Nault
SOUTH GRAFTON: James M. “Bones” Nault, 50, began his life at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass. He started and ended his adventure in the loving community of South Grafton, Mass. A journey that began and ended with his loving family. It all began with his parents Roland G. Nault and Marilyn J. (Croteau) Nault as well as his older brothers Robert and John, but as things in life often do circumstances changed and his family dynamics came to include a loving stepfather Steven W. Gauvin.
When James was a teenager and attending Blackstone Valley Tech his life came to include a sister Susan M. (William) Gauvin who held a place in his heart like no sister could.
James also had grandparents that predeceased him Robert and Marion Croteau and Roland and Ann Nault that cherished and nurtured him throughout his lifetime.
He also enjoyed the love and support of aunts, uncles and many cousins that surrounded him with fun laughter and love throughout his journey.
James was blessed with a niece Madison who showed him love and tenderness before and after his diagnosis and struggle with ALS.
He also had 3 of his favorite people on the planet, his nephew Daniel Nault, Benjamin William and Steven William who brought a smile to his face and twinkle to his blue eyes and a joy to his day every time they walked into the room.
James was fortunate to know the love and support of his siblings’ partners Gregory William, Denise Nault and Roxanne Schiloski as well as many friends and compassionate caregivers that supported him and ensured his comfort and quality of his life throughout his courageous battle.
James was a master HVAC mechanic and was the owner and President of Valley Heating and Cooling for many years as well as working with and having the respect of many local contractors.
James will truly be missed, there is not only a hole in our family but a hole in the world with his passing. Please honor James with a memorial donation to an organization that provided so many resources to both he and his family, Compassionate Care ALS PO Box 1052 West Falmouth, MA 02574 or online at www.ccals.org. All are welcome to gather with James’s family Monday April 17th from 4pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for James Tuesday April 18th at 10:00am at St. James Church 89 Main St. S. Grafton, MA 01560. All attending the Funeral Mass are politely requested to go directly to the church. He will then be laid to rest at St. Phillip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
