She was an avid gardener who loved to share her flowers and gardening knowledge with family and friends. When she wasn't tending to the flowers and vegetables in her gardens, she was tending to the needs of the church and others at St. Patrick's Church in Falmouth. She spent countless volunteer hours cleaning the sacristy and altar at St. Patrick's as well as St. Thomas' Chapel; she was a devoted Eucharistic Minister; she cared for the sick and her elderly friends and neighbors by bringing them meals, baking lots of banana breads, and keeping them in her prayers. She loved helping others and spending time with her family, friends, and church community. Betty was awarded the Marian Medal for her many years of volunteer work at St Patrick's by the Diocese of Fall River. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Falmouth at 11:00 AM, June 29, 2015. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
