Obituary for Lillian M. "Bunny" Hutchison

Lillian M. (Klett) Hutchison, 69, of Grafton died peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was affectionately known by family and friends as Bunny.

She leaves her husband of 46 years Howard(Hutch) Hutchison; 2 daughters: Leah Hutchison-Dame and her husband Michael, Cara Hutchison Crane and her husband Jonathan; 5 grandchildren: Benjamin, Anna, Christopher, Evelyn, and Lillian; 3 sisters: Jane Smolyn and her husband Jay, Lynn Ahern and her husband Patrick, Mary Ellen Kundla and her husband Myron; as well as 9 nieces and nephews.

Bunny was born on August 26, 1946 to Frank and Lillian (Decker) Klett in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from Muhlenberg School of Nursing in 1967. She met Hutch in 1968 when he was stationed in NJ. They were married on March 15, 1969 at St. Agnes Church in Clark, NJ. She spent most of her life in Grafton, MA, raising her children.

Bunny was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an amazing person and everyone who met her loved her instantly. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She could often be found reading a book in her favorite recliner with the kids on her lap. She was passionate about animals and her pets, especially her beloved collie Tess. Bunny spent many years saving and rehabilitating wild animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also loved painting, cross stitching, and holidays especially Halloween. Bunny also enjoyed spending time by her fish pond chatting with family and friends. She had a love for antiques much like her mother before her, and a flair for decorating.

She will be missed dearly. We all loved her deeply and are glad she is at peace with her family that went before.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Massachusetts Audubon Society 208 South Great Road Lincoln, MA 01773 or online at www.Massaudubon.org, or the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02130 or online at www.mspca.org.

All are invited to gather with Bunny's family Sunday February 14th from 2pm-5pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Bunny Monday February 15th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton.
