Allan H. Unger, 81, passed away February 29, 2016 following a lengthy illness. He leaves his beloved wife Jennifer (Boeh) Unger, daughter Jessica Unger, her husband Nicholas Bruinsma and their daughter Areya Bruinsma, his sister Judi Weintraub with her husband Edwin Weintraub and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allan was born December 21, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Erasmus High School and New York University. Although his roots were in New York, his job and marriage to Jennifer prompted relocation to the quiet rural setting of Grafton, MA where they raised their daughter Jessica. Allan served in the U. S. Army and was stationed at Arlington National Cemetery where he was a member of the honor guard. For many years he dedicated his time and energy to his career in Human Resources. Most recently he worked for Data General where he developed and directed their Management Intern Program helping countless employees flourish and grow their management careers. After leaving Data General he established his own business, Direct Connect, where he continued to work with organizations to develop the management potential of their employees before he retired.
