Herbert L. Therrien, 99 died Monday June 15, 2015 in Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge. He leaves his wife of 75 years Harriet Cahill Therrien, three sons William and his wife Claudia of Mendon, David and his wife Nancy, Herbert (Terry) and a daughter, Kathleen Malmquist, all of Grafton. He leaves three sisters Mildred "Millie" Pallie of Grafton, Marcela Greene of Auburn, and Violet Stuart of Uxbridge. Fourteen Grandchildren; Christopher Plante, Elizabeth Fessenden, Joel and Jon Therrien, Jenifer Langley, Michael and Laura Therrien, Rodney, Amy, Raymond, Matthew & Jaelyn Malmquist, and Farley Nishanian. Nineteen Great Grandchildren; Kevin Therrien, Jacob, Noah & Emma Plante, Cora & Grayson Fessenden, Freya & Averon Langley, Alex, Bryan & Cayla Therrien, Jordan, Isaac & Canaan Therrien, Danielle Therrien, Cori, Ryan & Jessica Malmquist, Hope Lloyd, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a daughter, Diane Plante .
He was born February 5, 1916 (Son of Henry James Theirrien and Lucy Donais) in Quincy Massachusetts
He attended the Grafton School System until the seventh grade. After leaving school he worked at many jobs before joining Bay State Abrasive Company. He spent 35 years as a welder at Bay state Abrasive retiring in 1980. He enjoyed camping and wood working, and spending time with his family.
All are invited to gather with Herbert's family Monday June 22nd from 9:30-11:00am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by a prayer service at 11:00am in the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Grafton.
